Thinking Positively, Feeling Good

food for thought expression

Whenever meaning is attached to an event or experience in our lives, then an emotional response is elicited. Emotions essentially are a response that is electrochemically structured.

In other words, every time you create a meaning, the hypothalamus gets tickled and gives you an emotional response. So clumps of neuropeptides that are more or less defined as ‘feel good or feel bad’ arise in response to the ‘call’ (the meaning you attach) and spread to all of the cells in the body. They act like a key which finds and locks into the cell receptors situated on the surface of every cell in our bodies. The key connection signals a change in frequency which results in the cell starting to vibrate at low or high oscillations.

Neuropeptides are like food to a cell. Cells divide and proliferate as they feed. As more receptor cells are built to cope with the high flow of anger peptides, so less room is available to build receptors that are tuned for joy, trust and acceptance.

There is a definite relationship beween health or illness, laughter or feeling low

The whole process can be imagined as a stream of flowing water.

Habits of thinking and feeling have chiselled out channels in the body. The energy, like water, will flow more easily into well chiselled channels and grooves, than new and more shallow ones. It meets blockages by flowing around them, maybe sometimes leaving blocked areas without food or the energy needed to fight disease

Basically,as long as they are fed, your cells have the power to influence meaning, feelings and health. What you create or what you focus upon depend upon a food oriented mechanism. Almost like an addiction or craving, the ‘majority’ rule, now that the cells are replicating in attunement with the electrochemical vibration of the food, leads to a greater demand to be fed more of the same!

In the case of someone with depression or who is feeling stuck on the lower frequency, negative emotions, it is simply due to an overproduction of receptor sites on the cells of the body that have grown to feed on these very emotions and keep you there, as long as you remain unaware.

A constant feeding on sad or angry ‘foods’ will lead to a proliferation of cell receptors tuned to this frequency, waiting for yet more of the same. So, this means that although you get to feel quite ‘high’ at a revved up seminar, it may not be too long before you sink back into the habitual way of thinking and feeling, such as being sad or angry.

There’s a difference between longer term ‘happy peaceful’ states and short bursts of ‘happy ecstatic’, a regular balanced diet and bingeing.

It takes time to form new habits. If you understand the process this can help you to be more kind, patient and compassionate towards yourself.

Like starting a new diet. New behaviours are needed to reinforce the new perspective and become the new cell food. A change of food is required.

Choose a different diet!

Every time you see success, beauty and love in whatever area, in your own life and in the life of others, praise and appreciate it.

New neural pathways will be created, brimming with new meaning, more love and more connection, especially from within, the ultimate source of nurturing through which we thrive
