The word “Angel” may make you think about a Dan Brown’s book, Angel and Demon. But, My Angel is not a character in the book. My angel is my mother and my Angel’s Festival is actually Mother’s Day.

On 10th May, 2009, I celebrated Mother’s Day with my mum and grandmothers. I took them to a tea restaurant and had lunch. Then, I cooked a dinner for my mum. Of course, doing so many things for my mum is not an easy job because I do not need to do these things normally.

Treating your mother well is not the only aim of Mother’s Day. Having a day to communicate with your mother and enhance the connection between you and your mother is a more important objective of Mother’s Day. Your mum takes care of you anytime. But, are you willing to do something for her on Mother’s Day only?

Although we are bad, our mum still being an angel and stay with us anytime. She loves you more than herself. She thinks our needs are more important than hers. But we only focus on our study and career. We do not always miss our mothers.

Usually, we think our mothers are not as important as our money, friendships and happiness. When we write a list of importance, we always forget about our mothers. We only put mother to the top of the list of importance in Mother’s Day. Is that adequate?

Of course not! Besides, actually, your mother does not want you to use large sum of money to celebrate Mother’s Day. What she wants may be your smile and happiness. Money is not a big deal for her because you are the most important treasury for her.

Love your mother. Send your love to her. She can feel that. She will not calculate how much love you give her but she will be happy when you give something for her form your heart. Just say “I love you” to your mother. And show that you really care about your mother.

Mother is the angel for us. She satisfies our hope. She protects us sacrificially. I hope that you love your mum not only on Mother’s Day but also everyday. The love you give to your angel is the greatest gift for her.
